Two Ways of Formatting s60 Phone

There are two ways of formatting s60 phone

• Soft Format If you encounter some strange problems, then you can do soft format. By doing this all the installed app on C: drive will be deleted.

Steps:-

* On the idle screen, just type *#7370#* It will ask lock code, type your lock code.By default it is 12345.

• Hard Format If you encounter a problem like below:

* Blank screen, unable to boot & reboot.
* Phone only able to boot up to "NOKIA" word screen.
* Error of "app closed: apparcthread or apparcserverthread" due to installed app on c:
* And other similar problems.Then, do full formatting as follows:
* Make sure you have sufficient battery power.
* Switch off the phone and switch it on.
* Quickly press and hold down three key: green(dial) key,
*(star) key, 3(keypad) until you see "FORWATTING" and release it.After having done so, your phone will be back to its original and factory setting.
